Who? This workshop is designed for large-scale land managers and land owners. Anyone who understands the invasive issue and is looking for control options is welcome to attend. Professionals from around the state will present talks and demonstrate control methods.
 
Why? This workshop is a follow-up to the fall workshop “Good Plants Gone Bad: Invasive Plants in Ohio.” This workshop will be more technical and is designed to delve deeper into effective control techniques for invasive plants.
 
How much? A $15 registration fee will help support the Council’s statewide efforts. All participants will receive a boxed lunch. Registration will be available online. Exact payment will be required on the day of the workshop. Purchase orders and billing for multiple attendees may be arranged in advance.

Invasive plant control resources – Where to find supplies, equipment, contractors, and volunteers (Tom Borgman, Hamilton County Park District)

11:15 – 12:00

Herbicides for woody invasive plant control (Dan Matteson, Townsend)

Herbicides for herbaceous invasive plant control (Lisa Herber, JF New Nursery)

Panel discussion: effective control techniques being used in Ohio (panelists to represent 6-8 agencies/organizations, questions presented by the moderator; discussion by all)

 Demonstrations of control options for invasive plants (a variety of demonstrations will be presented outside)
